Notes for: John FOSCOTT

It is not certain whether John is a son, a nephew or a cousin of William Foscott of Ryetts Cottage. However, John was a butcher like William and also received land from William's wife Agnes (his mother?), so is more likely to be a son .

Seisin granted to them by the lord's grace, Holding to them, their heirs and assigns by the rod according to the custom of the manor paying therefor yearly 8s 6d as of old was answered for the premises, also doing all other services and customs therefrom before owed and customary and also paying 40s, in 3 payments of 13s 4d each Michaelmas until 40s is paid.
