Article text:" Eli Foskett, of Grandborough, was charged by Mr. Clear, attendance officer of the Winslow Union, with the non-attendance of Minnie, absent 90 times out of 132. Mrs. Foskett said she had three children ill, and was obliged to keep this one at home. The Bench inflicted a fine of 2s 6d, allowing a week to pay, and said in future they should not allow much time, as the longer they allowed the worse the fines were paid"
