Notes for: Agnes HUNT

Agnes and her husband John received land from Richard and Katherine Hunt in 1405 on their marriage. It is assumed that this is her parents, particularly as they have a son Richard. Confirmed from Manor Rolls of 1438 that she was the daughter of Richard Hunt.
21 Jan 1438
Agnes who was wife of John Foxcote, daughter of Richard Hunte, sought to be admitted to 1 messuage and 2 half virgates of land with appurtenances as [she was] joint tenant with her husband John, deceased, as appears in the previous court. This having been inquired into and confirmed she did fealty and acknowledged holding the messuage and land from the lord, Holding to her and hers according to the custom of the manor for the ancient rents, works and customs. Paid no fine because [paid] elsewhere with her husband as was found in the court roll. [see 2 Jun 1405]
