Funeral Service on Wed Mar 21st at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh 11.15am. Memorial Service and interment of ashes at Godling Parish Church, Nottinghamshire on Monday 26th March at 11am.
Obituary on March 21st: Leaves one daughter, Daphne Foskett, wife of the Provost of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh.

New Bishop of Penrith
The Very Reverend Reginald Foskett, Provost of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, is to be Bishop Suffragan of Penrith, Cumberland. He succeeds the Right Rev S C Bulley who has become Bishop of Carlisle.
Dr Foskett, who was born in 1909, has been Provost of Edinburgh since 1957

Bishop of Penrith to Resign
The Bishop of Penrith, the Right Rev Dr Reginald Foskett, will resign is see from September 20 on medical advice. Dr Foskett, who bevame Bishop in 1967, has been off duty through illness from early in the year, and although he is making a slow recovery his doctor has advised him that he should not return to full-time work.

RT REV DR R FOSKETT
Dr Reginald Foskett, assistant Bishop of Carlisle since 1971, died on Tuesday. He was Bishop Suffragan of Penrith from 1967 to 1970.
Born in 1909, Foskett was the son of A E Foskett of Retford, Nottinghamshire. He was educated at Derby School, Keble College Oxford and Cuddesdon College Oxford; he took his Nottingham PhD in 1957. He was ordained in 1932.
He was a lecturer at Nottinghamshire County Training College for Teachers 1946-1950; Vicar of Ilkeston, Derbyshire 1948-1957, and Rural Dean 1950-1957; and Provost os St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh 1967-1967.
In 1962 he published “Some Scottish Links with the American Episcopal Church 1685-1785”; and he edited “The Zambezi Journal and Letters of Dr John Kirk” and “Zambezi Doctors”, correspondence between Kirk and Dr David Livingstone (1964-1965)
Foskett married in 1937, Daphne the daughter of Lieutenant- Col J W C Kirk and they had two daughters.
