Possible explanation: The two identical entries could be because of an administration error on the part of the parish clerk.
Perhaps the same parish clerk for both parishes? In each of these two cases he was baptised at the same time as his brother Frederick,
so it is unlikely that this could have been a case of a private baptism.
The 1876 entry in St Philip could be because the parents had genuinely forgotten that Thomas had already been baptised.
The date of birth given at this baptism pre-dates the earlier entry, so it is not a case of two sons with the same name born to the same
parents.
