He is probably the Frederick Foskett who is found in Concordia, Uruguay in 1881 for the baptism of his son Gustavus Herbert Foskett.
He was a Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer at varying times. I wonder whether he had been attracted to the original Panama Canal project which began in 1880? He and his familycertainly have disappeared from English records by 1881, although a couple of the children reappear in 1891 and 1901. 22,000 workers died on this initial Panama project.
