He graduated from Brown University in 1861, Harvard Medical in 1867. He was a practicing physician in Waltham, Boston and Billerica. During the Civil War he enlisted for 100 days in the 10th RI REgiment. On 02 Jun 1864 he enlisted in the navy and was a surgeon during this service. He was Honorably Discharged 13 Oct 1865. Resided Billerica, MA
