Alvin lived in Springfield, MA until Sep 1883, then moved back to Jordanville, NY and then to Chicago in 1889 where he was a funeral director for many years. In 1922
he took a position with the Linkbelt Co, retiring in 1935 at the age of 85. He appears in the 1880 census for Springfield, MA.
