Aged 41 when he died in a tunnel accident in NY. He was assigned to duty in the Dept of Public Works 15 Jun 1882; examined in NY Customs House in 1899.
He was in New Rochelle, Westchester Co, NY in 1900 census living as a boarder with Edward Hinsdale.
