Notes for: Joseph Herbert GOOD

He graduated from Boston Latin School and from Harvard College in 1935. Joe served with the 93rd Armored Field Artillery Battalion, holding the rank of Captain. He saw action in 5 campains in the European Theatre and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Air Medal. After the service he was working for the Burpee Seed Company in Doyletown, PA, where he met Lucille George, who was working there for the summer while she was attending Wheaton College. After their marriage, they lived in Plainfield, NJ, for a few years where Joe worked as a tile layer. They moved to Brattleboro, Windham, VT in 1952. Joe was employed by H Margolin Co, Inc., in Brattleboro. He was a member of the Brattleboro Post, American Legion. He died from a heart attack and was buried in the Good loty in the Meetinghouse Cemetery in Brattleboro.
