Notes for: Everett Theodore (Parlee) BOULTER

Ted graduated from Newton High School, Newton, MA in 1942. He served as a Private in the Army from 1942 - 1946 when he received a medical discharge. During the service he attended Marietta College and he graduated from Boston University in 1948. He was a Stock Broker from 1948 - 1967.

In the fall of 1965 Ted and Louise bought a motel in Bennington, VT. They enlarged and upgraded the whole facility, adding a small gift shop and then sold it in 1971. In the spring of 1972 they purchased one of the largest gift shops in the state of VT. They ran the "Village Gift Barn" in Pownal until 1977. In the meantime Ted ran for state office and was elected as a Representative to the Legislature from 1976 - 1978. After the legislature closed Ted and Louise moved to Phoenix, AZ., where both became involved in Real Estate as they had been in VT and NH.

Louise became the office manager of the largest ERA office in the US. In 1981, both Louise and Ted semi-retired. In 1984, they did spend the summer (five months) working at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for TW Services. In 1987 they spent the summer working in the Grand Tetons for Rock Resorts. In 1988 they worked at a summer R. V. park in Westbrook, Maine. In 1982, between jobs, Louise and Ted began working on their joint genealogies. They are now both fully retired, living in Mesa AZ. 13 Apr. 1993.
