Robert and wife Sarah were living with son Joel and family in the 1790 census but they were dead by the 1800 census.
He was in Capt.Joseph Whitcombs Co., Service Mar.1755 to end of year. In the Battle of Lake George,Crown Point.etc
He was also in the Rev. War age 73-from Bolton -to Goose,3 mos.,14 days, bounty L7-6s-6d. Under Capt. David Nurse.
Robert lived Marlboro,Mass. 1731. Later settled in that part of Bolton, Mass. that became Berlin.
Robert changed the spelling of the name to Fosgate.
He owned the first brick yard in Bolton.
