OLD RESIDENT DIES
Mr Milton Foskett was born in Uneida(sic) County, NY, April 24 1817. He died at a ripe old age of 91 years, 9 months and 12 days, on Saturday morning, Feb 6 1909. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the residence.
Mr Foskett came to Illinois in 1839 and married Miss Fannie M Cady in 1841. They lived on the Foskett farm, north of Palatine until about 1878, when they moved to Palatine. Eight children were born to them, but only two of whom survive, namely, Charles of Ivanhoe and Mrs Tom Daniels, who has cared for him the last few years. His first wife died in 1879 and he married again in 1883 to Miss Nellie Payne, of Lockport, NY, the latter died in 1888. His third wife, Miss Lura Dean, died Nov 17 1905. Mr Foskett was a man of wonderful vitality and has recovered from sickness many times in the last few years that an ordinary man would have succumb to. He was one of the oldest Palatine residents, was known by many and was universally called "Uncle Milt". While his demise is sincerely mourned, his friends can comfort themselves with the thought that he has gone to his reward after a long life journey and of which nough but praise can be said. Besides his two children, he leaves 13 grandchildren and twp great-grandchildren.
