Notes for: Josiah WILLSON

Josiah was commissioned Ensign in Capt. Isaac Gray's Co., in Col. Jonathan Brewer's Reg't. on 17 June 1775; 2nd Lt. on 6 Oct. 1775, 1st Lt. 1 Apr 1776 & Capt. 29 June 1780.
The family resided in Greenwich, Mass. which is no more, as it became part of the Quabbin Reservoir. After the Revolutionary War he settled his family in Rupert, Vt.
