Notes for: George Herbert GRAY

George graduated at John Hopkins University; AB 1895. During his course he was much interested in Natural History, joining the Agassiz Assoc., Longville Ornithological Society, American Ornithological Society, Baltimore Naturalist Field Club and the Maryland Academy of Science. His notes made at this time are in part incorporated in Kirkwood's "Birds of Maryland". After working for some time with prominent architects in New York, he went to Paris to study at l'Ecole des Beaux Arts. After spending some time in New York, he established himself in Louisville, KY.
