Notes for: Hubert Wetmore WELLS

They lived Wilington, Delaware. Rev. Hubert graduated from Yale AB1889, attending Yale Theological School and entered the ministry of the Protestant Episcopal Church. He became assistant minister of Grace Church, NY 1892, rector of Christ Church, Waltham, MA 1895, which under his ministry built a beautiful new church at a cost of about $70,000. He became rector of St Andrew's Church, Wilmington, Del, 1900.
He held many important positions in different associations in Wilmington. In 1912 he became secretary of the City Club of Philadelphia, whose object is the advancing of civic and social righteousness. He is a member of the Joint Commission to revise and enlarge the Hymnal of the Protestant Episcopal Church. He is associated clerically with St Stephen's Church, Philadelphia.
