Samuel was a soldier in the Colonial and Revolutionary Wars. He was on garrison duty at Quebex 1761-62; at the Battle of Bunker Hill and in several other battles. He was mustered out in 1782 having served 2 years in the Colonial and 7 years in the Revolutionary Wars. (Worster Genealogy)
