Daniel lived in Wales, MA. until 1843 when he moved to Brimfield and there he bought and kept the tavern until 1849. He then removed to Monson and in that place kept the hotel for 1 or 2 years. He then went to Erie, PA., where he was a tavernkeeper and then returned to MA and settled upon a small farm in Agawan, where he died.
