John came to Lorraine, NY., in 1806 with his parents. He removed to Theresa, NY shortly before he died. His will dated 10 Jun 1856 and probated 29 Sep 1856 left to his wife Phebe; sons Silas L, John S; daughters Ann K Smith, Electa E Prosser and Mary L Barnes; grandchildren John George, Nathan I George, Silas George, John George Smith, Phebe Smith, John George Newton, Charles G Prosser.
