He was of Littleton, NH at time of his first marriage. In the 1850 census for Swanzey, NH, David, aged 30 and born NH was living with Josiah Howlet, 57, and Orilla Howlet, 43. In the same census for Winchester, NH, Alvah Crouch, 4, and Frank Crouch, 1, are living with Benjamin Bryant, 52, b ME, his unnamed wife, 46, their children Helen, 14, Enoch 12 and James, 8. Also living in that household is Caroline Thompson, aged 26, born Nova Scotia, who is probably the one who became Daniel's third wife.
