The family was in the 1850 PA Census in LeBoeuf Twp and in 1860 in Franklin, Erie Co., PA. They moved to Mitchell Co., IA in 1862 where they lived on a farm near the community of Stacyville. They lived there over 40 years. About 1900 they moved to the town of Osage, IA.
