She died in Worcester where she had been to attend the funeral of her grandchild William Royal, the son of Samuel E Hildreth. When about to board the train on her return she dropped dead. She had moved to Harvard, MA after the death of her husband, Royal, and she married secondly on 30 May 1839 Jonathan Sawyer of Harvard, the son of Manasseh and Hannah Sawyer. He died 09 Sep 1865 aged 76. (Gravestone in Harvard Center Burial Ground, Harvard, MA. She was 58 years old when she died.
