Notes for: John FELTON

John is first mentioned in the proprietors records in 1767, when he was chosen one of a committee of three to serve as trustees of the school-money. He was the first to make a clearing and bring into a state of cultivation the farm now owned by Rufus S. Frost. He removed to Cooperstown, N.Y. previous to 1800.
Died of an epidemic disease.
