There is also a different birthdate for Benjamin - 06 Aug 1830. One comes from the family Bible and the other from his Obituary in the Mishawaka Enterprise on Friday 02 Dec 1887 - it says he left a widow and 6 children. He died of typhoid fever. He emigrated with his wife and child to Oregon in 1853. In 1857 death claimed both wife and child. In 1866 he returned to Mishawaka and spent the summer with his father, In the fall he moved to Franklin Co., KS.
