Notes for: Ranney J GREENE Jr
He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1854 and went south as a teacher. He enlisted at New Orleans in 1861 and served 5 years in the Confederate Army as Captain in the Crescent Regiment, Louisiana Vols. After the war he settled in Houston, Tx. and was secretary of the Houston Direct Navigation Company, which position he held until his death. From the History of Randolph, Vt.
