Notes for: James FOSGATE
Fagan's map of Cheshire Co, (1858) and Hurd's map of Winchester (1892) both show James dwelling on the north side of the road leading westerley from the Old Westport Rd., Winchester, just south of the Wheelock homestead. The site overlooked the Wheelock graveyard where his father Joel was buried. James is found in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census with his family together with his mother Abigail.
