The following from the Stafford, CT, Land Records

5 day of _______ 1804? Elijah Pease of Stafford went before Eleazer W Phelps Esq. and received judgement against Hezekiah Fosket, late of Stafford, now absconded and gone to parts unknown for the sum of 11.25 damages and for the sum of 2.38 costs of suit as appears of record whereof execution remains to be done.

13 Apr 1807. Elijah Pease of Stafford sold to Jabez Sholes of Stafford land in Stafford that Elijah Pease have or ought to have in or to the real estate of Hezekiah Fosket late of said Stafford being his undivided share out of the real estate of Hezekiah Fuller late of Stafford deceased which belonged to him as heir and grandchild of dais Fuller lying in said Stafford which was to him by virtue of an deposition in favor of said Pease against said Fosket this being only the share which belonged to said Foskett out of the north lot called and known by the name of Dickinson lot.

I then.....tried to get the money for damages and........to the land belonging to Hezekiah Fosket lying in the 1st Sec of Stafford said land being in common with Zenas Fosket, Polly Fosket, Elijah Fosket, Peggy Fosket, Susannah Fosket, Dwight Fosket, Philury Fosket, Lucy Fosket, they being joint owners with the said Hezekiah Fosket, 1/9th part of the estate of Hezekiah Fuller, deceased,
