In 1741 a revision of the province line transferred the greater part of the original Dunstable grant to the jurisdiction of NH. The early families of this ancient town at the time it was cut in two were living in Nashua and parts of Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield and Merrimack in NH and in Dunstable and Tyngsborough, MA. The early records of the legislation, civil and military appointments, land titles and probate court are preserved in the archives of MA.
