Melvyn was a farmer in Dudley for 40 years and was a die maker at Worcester Wire Division of the National Standard Co., in Worcester for 26 years, retiring in 1969. 77 years a member of Dudley Grange, he attended the 1st Congregational Church, Oxford.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper.
