Elizabeth was his 2nd wife.
His first wife was also an Elizabeth who died 15 Nov 1798 and by whom he had the following children:
Ann b 05 Nov 1786; Mary b 23 Feb 1789; Sarah b 05 Mar 1791; Elizabeth Ames b 12 Sep 1792; Samuel b 01 Aug 1795; Lucy bapt 13 Oct 1799.
Samuel was a mason and was killed by falling from the roof of a house.
