The origins of James have always been obscure, until it was realised that a slight change of surname had occured.
There are no Fosketts living in Gt Waldingfield in the 1840's, however there is a James Fosker, son of Isaac born in 1839. James' children by his first wife were surnamed Fosker although by the time he married his second wife he is using the name Foskett. All descendants have taken this surname.
