Notes for: James Alfred E FOSKETT

Some confusion over his name, but he was actually born as James Alfred E Fosker. Also known as James Henry Foskett. Shipped to India to stay with an uncle after his mother's death.. It is not known whether this uncle was a Foskett or a Hall. Educated in India at the Abu Lawrence school. Joined Lancs Fusiliers at age 16 in India.
No-one in his family ever bothered to contact him again, according to one of his descendants, and he remained bitter about the Foskett's for the rest of his life. Apparently, sometime after he returned to England from India, he was visited by a sister, but the visit was very short and there was no further contact.
